ABOUT SHAWN RIKER, LMFT

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Shawn grew up in the small town of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Upon graduating, he attended Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and History in 2003.

Shawn married Jodi in 2004. They lived in San Diego and Philadelphia before moving to Central Florida in January of 2012 looking for a change in climate and culture.
​
After attempts in the field of politics and then law, Shawn decided that he wanted to dedicate his life to helping couples and families. In May of 2011 Shawn graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, Pennsylvania with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Shawn is specifically trained in Hypnosis, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Core Communication, Prepare/Enrich Premarital, and working with families and marriages. He also enjoys working with adolescents.
Shawn founded Life United, LLC. in May of 2011 with the goal of helping marriages, families, and individuals. Shawn believes that relationships are integral in making changes in ones’ life.

Shawn lives in Lake Mary, Florida with his wife and children.

Shawn is a Clinical Fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of Florida (License Number MT 3056), and a Certified Hypnotherapist.
